Description
Moving into a leadership or management role requires a significant shift in how you contribute to results. Success depends less on completing work independently and more on setting expectations, building trust, delegating effectively, addressing conflict, and helping others perform. Without a clear approach, new and experienced managers can struggle to balance operational responsibilities with the demands of leading people.
This course provides a practical framework for understanding your role as a leader and responding to the varied needs of employees and teams. You will examine your own behavioural style through the DiSC Classic 2.0 assessment and learn how communication preferences, emotional intelligence, sources of influence, and situational factors affect leadership effectiveness.
Through applied exercises, you will practise delegation, feedback, decision-making, conflict resolution, and performance conversations. You will leave better prepared to communicate expectations, adapt your leadership approach, and address team challenges with greater consistency. The course will help you make sound people-management decisions, support employee engagement and accountability, and connect day-to-day leadership practices with organizational values, change, vision, mission, and strategy.
